How often do you stop to acknowledge your blessings in life? The holiday season is a time that many of us reflect on the past year and the things we are thankful for in our lives. But is that enough? What if you started each and every day from a place of gratitude?
I challenge you to commit to beginning each day in 2011 acknowledging at least one thing that you are thankful for. As you do this, you will likely find that you begin to shift to a more positive outlook on a daily basis. It may not come easily at first – post a reminder to yourself -or start a “gratitude journal”…..every day adding at least one new entry to your list.
Start with the little things…..are you thankful for a sunny day…a good night’s sleep…a kiss from a loved one…..or something you accomplished. Today I began my day full of gratitude for a new year full of promise…feeling the excitement of all of the possibilities in the coming year. As we shift to become more conscious of all of the gifts in our lives, we begin to feel better about ourselves and those around us.
Consciously starting each day from a place of gratitude is truly life changing! Take the challenge – see how your life can change!
